Uses of Subjunctive

  • The Subjunctive is used when two parts of a sentence have different subjects.
  • The Subjunctive is used to express wishes, desires, opinions, doubts, disagreement, denial, recommendations, emotions and impersonal expressions.
  • The Subjunctive is used when certain verbs in the main sentence express desire, doubt, emotion, doubt, disagreement, etc... 
  • The Subjunctive is used after certain conjunctions relating two parts of a sentence.
  • The Subjunctive verb is the one in the second sentence.
