Expressions with TENER

TENER normally means to have but many expressions use tener when English uses to be.


TENER años
¿Cuántos años tienes?

Tengo 40 años.

TENER calor / frío
¿Tienes frío?
No, tengo calor.

TENER hambre / sed
Tenemos hambre.
Pues vayamos al restaurante.

TENER celos
El niño tiene celos del bebé.


TENER cuidado
