APRENDER - Me encanta aprender nuevos idiomas. I love learning new languages.
HAY - En EEUU hay paisajes maravillosos. In the USA there are wonderful landscapes.
AY! - ¡Ay! Me he cortado con el cuchillo. Ouch! I've cut myself with the knife.
HAS - ¿Has estudiado para el examen?. Have you studied for the exam?.
AS - El as de oros es la carta más fuerte. The ace of diamonds is the strongest card.
HARTE - Comeré hasta que me harte. I will eat until I feel full.
ARTE - El Partenon es un ejemplo del arte griego. The Parthenon is an example of Greek art.
DESHECHO - He deshecho la bufanda. No me gusta. I have undone the scarf. I do not like it.
DESECHO - Los deshechos se tiran en ese cubo. The waste is thrown into that bucket.
HALA - ¡Hala! ¡Cuánta gente hay en el concierto!. Wow! How many people are in the concert!
ALA - El ala del avión está helada. The aircraft wing is frozen.
HAMO - No puedo pescar, he olvidado los hamos. I can not fish, I've forgotten the fish-hooks.
AMO - El amo de la casa no tenía criados. The master of the house did not have servants.
HASTA - No tengo clase hasta Septiembre. I do not have class until September.
ASTA - Hay un asta de bandera en cada colegio. There is a flagpole at each school.
HATAJO - Hay un hatajo de gamberros en mi barrio. There are a bunch of thugs in my neighborhood.
ATAJO - Para ir al trabajo siempre tomo un atajo. To go to work I always take a shortcut.
HATO - Hay un hato de ovejas en el prado. There is a herd of sheep in the meadow.
ATO - ¿Ato el barco al poste? Should I tie the boat to the pole?
HAYA - El haya es un árbol hermoso. The beech is a beautiful tree.
AYA - El aya cuidó al bebé durante seis meses. The governess cared for the baby for six months.
HERRAR - Necesito herrar los caballos esta mañana. I need to shoe the horses this morning.
ERRAR - El refrán dice que errar es de sabios. The proverb says It is wise to err.
HINCAS - ¿Por qué hincas tu rodilla en mi espalda? Why are you driving your knee into my back?
INCAS - Los Incas dirigieron el mayor imperio americano. The Incas led the largest American Empire. 
HOJEAR - Me gusta hojear libros de arte en las bibliotecas. I like leafing through art books in libraries. 
OJEAR - ¿Necesita algo? No, solo estoy ojeando. Do you need something? No, I'm just taking a look.
HOLA - Hola, ¿cómo estás? Bien, gracias. Hi, how are you? I am well, thank you.
OLA - En Hawai hay olas magníficas para hacer surf. In Hawaii there are magnificent surfing waves.
HONDA - Los niños usaban las hondas para jugar. Children used the slingshots to play with.
ONDA - Las ondas en esta playa son muy bajas. The waves on this beach are very low.
HORA - ¿Qué hora es? Son las ocho de la mañana. What time is it? It's eight o'clock.
ORA - Sor Lourdes ora en el convento. Sister Lourdes prays at the convent.
HUNO - El rey del pueblo Huno se llamaba Atila. The king of the Huns was Attila.
UNO - ¿Cuántos coches tienes? Uno.  How many cars do you have? One.
HUSO - Este huso lo usaba mi tatarabuela. This spindle was used by my great great grandmother.
USO - Uso aceite de oliva para cocinar.
I use olive oil to cook.
